What Is It?
Menstrual underwear is underwear that is made with absorbent material in the crotch area to absorb menstrual fluid. Menstrual underwear can be worn with other menstrual products like tampons, cups, or even pads. Similar to regular underwear, menstrual underwear comes in different colors and styles, and should be washed and dried thoroughly after wearing.
An Example
Vinnie has a few pairs of menstrual underwear to use during their period. Vinnie changes their period underwear every 8-12 hours depending on their menstrual flow. They rinse the blood out of their underwear first before washing them in the laundry machine and hanging them up to dry overnight.
