- Sometimes a care assistant may help the person they support to use the toilet.
- It’s okay for the client to request privacy before and after the care assistant helps.
- Some people use a catheter bag to collect urine. Before sex, some people may prefer to secure their bag below their bladder on their leg or abdomen. A condom can also be placed over the penis and the catheter tube. Speak with a supportive health care provider to learn about practicing safer sex that is comfortable with a catheter bag.
- Usually during sex, people with a penis will not pee and ejaculate semen at the same time.
- If a person feels that they need to pee during sex, they can stop having sex and go to the bathroom to use the toilet so that they feel more comfortable.
- During sex, people with a vulva may notice wetness in their vagina. This is natural lubrication to make the vagina more slippery and to protect the vagina’s sensitive skin. Some people may release a whitish fluid that is not slippery and is lightly scented. It does not smell like urine. This is not urine. It is a type of ejaculation for people with vulvas.
